Congrats on 50 episodes, gents! Looking forward to 50 more.
Great episode...on the cell phone issue, actually there are numerous items that you walk away with for nearly nothing. Cell phones you usually have to pay a deposit or activation fee, and then you have monthly payments. A car, you have a down payment, and then you have monthly payments. If you apply for credit at a store to buy clothes, you get the clothes for free, basically, and then you make monthly payments.
It's not like the cell phone company isn't make the money back via the monthly payments, it's all worked into the monthly price of service. Thus the reason why there is a cancellation charge, since the company hasn't had a chance to receive the rest of the payments that were promised intially, so in order to get their money back, they charge you a $100 to $150 charge.
Sorry to get up on my soapbox, but I know what you mean, and what I think you were trying to convey, which is that people assume they're free, when in fact it's more like a loan. But it's that same typical feeling that most Americans have, of entitlement, that they deserve something for nothing, because they're Americans.

How dare you use the N word on your podcast. As we, gay men,we should not downgrade ourselves to our opressors.
